COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
Alcohol content varies. Spring 2012 batch is 11% ABV. Spring 2013 is 10%.

22oz bottle into tulip. Pours copper in color. Hazy. Nice offwhite head. Citrus aroma. Grapefruit. Alcohol. Sweet taste. Bitter finish. Overall it’s pretty nice. Alcohol is a little sharper than expected.

Tap @ Toronado. Why have a malty finish?! It's called Hop 15!! You have the hoppy aroma. You have the bitterness. The initial taste is ecstatic and then the sweet malty taste takes over and I feel a headache coming over. So close! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is fruit/citrus, candy sweetness and a hint of barnyard funk. The flavor is fruit, hops/slightly dank, malts, citrus and a n increasingly bitter finish. Like an original iipa, bitter but not too much.

Bottle pours muddy looking amber, active light tan head leaves slight retention. Massive pine nose. Taste has solid bitterness, pine resin, oranges, grapefruit, stone fruit. Medium to full body.

Loved port San Clemente so obviously really loved this. Grassy pine hops with mango aftertaste. Mild malts and big alcohol but hops where the best part so fresh!

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival. Citrus, bitter, oranges, orange peel, quite dry, grapefruit. A bit thin for the ABV, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Dark blond with thin lacy head. Aroma has sugary tropical fruits and earthy, piney hops. Quite thick and furry feeling. A bit over the top.
