UPDATED: NOV 4, 2012 On tap at The Taphouse, pours a beautiful creamy yellow with a lush white head. Aroma of resiny hops, citrus and caramel. Flavour features prominent grapefruit and pine notes above the resiny hops, citrus and caramel. An absolutely outstanding IIPA. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2010
Haxy orange color, offwhite/yellowish head. Nice hoppy, grassy aroma, fruity, apples, pine apple. Hoppy flavor, grassy, fruity, berries, dry and with a long very nice bitter finish. Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 7, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2008 Hazy dull beige. Assertive hop, vague but with hints of peach, lemon and mandarin. Juicy, peachy hop-loaded brew. Light pale malt character, but with loads of miscellaneous tropical fruit, citrus and honey. Smooth, with a bit of a late alcohol splash. chrisv10 (18495) - DENMARK - FEB 21, 2010

Dark nut-orange color, small off-white head. Bready, citrusy hoppy aroma. Very malty, bready hoppy flavor. Notes of citrus, but mostly yeasty and alcoholic. Warming, but not kind of IPA I like, Score 4.06 seems quite overrated if judged by this bottle.
Bottle. Pours orange with white head. Nose/taste of pineapple, grapefruit, citrus, caramel malt, citrus bread and pine needles. Mouthful of fresh citrus. Medium body. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle, 22oz. Shared by tarjei. A hazy, orange beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has pinecones, some citrus, resin and a malty sweetness giving some beefstock. Piney and resiny flavor, really bitter, and lasting for a long time. Warming and full-bodied. I find the beer a bit too intense on bitterness and alcohol warmth, slightly unbalanced, still it’s a quite delicious beer. And I probably shouldn’t complain over balance problems with a beer like this. (090508) FatPhil (17077) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 21, 2013

Nice hoppy aroma, but so sweet. At 11%, I’m guessing this is going to be a sweet boozy mess. Ug - I’d forgotten the name... Yuck - in the mouth there’s nothing but an astringent acidic burn. Pretty shit unbalanced boozy hop liquor. Want it out of my mouth. Fuck you, brewer. DP.
Bottle @ home shared with Joes and DutchDrebus. Hazy dark yellow / light orange color. Smell and taste fruity, hoppy, bitter but also alcoholic. Carbo good, body medium to full. brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 23, 2011
A: The beer pours an opaque orange color with a solid finger of white head and some sticky lacing.
S: Initially smells pretty boozy, but that eventually fades and there is a lot of sweet fruit going on here. Pineapple, mango, tangerine, and grapefruit make up the bulk of the hop aroma. A touch of sugar which accentuates the sweetness.
T: Lots of sweet tropical fruit with a moderate level of bitterness to it. Mild pine but plenty of grapefruit and pineapple with a touch of orange. A slight booze creeps in on the back end. There’s a really oily hop feel to this beer.
M: Medium to full in body with a moderate to high carbonation and a lingering bitterness.
D: This used to be one of my favorite DIPAs, but lately I’ve found it to be too sweet. It’s still a good beer, but no longer one of my top choices.
