Bottle. Pours orange with a fluffy off white long lasting head. Some sediments. Peach, passion fruit, pineapple, citrus, grape fruit and caramel in aroma. The flavour grape fruit, citrus, peaches, pineapple and a solid caramel base. Great balance. beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2011
Bottle. Pours a nice orange color with lots of hop haze, and a forthy off white head. Aroma is filled with west coast IPA nuances, grapefruit, citrus, pineapple, tangerine and smells super fresh. Flavor is again mainly hoppy, with a subtle maltiness, I get loads of grapefruit, pineapple and tangerine. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall a fantastic west coast DIPA, I like how it has that ’’fresh squeezed hop juice’’ flavor!

Hazy orange amber with a big, lovely, creamy, off-white head. Stunning duration. Aroma has resin, oranges, pine, light white pepper, zesty lemon. Medium carbonation, very dry and lovely creamy palate. Flavour is bitter, lots of hops. Resin, oranges, red apple, peach, floral. Lingering, hoppy bitter finish with notes of lovely exotic fruit. "Mongo" super was a nice cat, I suppose.
22oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a huge creamy rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.jesperhammer (4735) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2011
The aroma is meloney citrus and piney, resiny, stinky hops.
The flavor is some sweet melon with a big resiny tarry, slightly charred hop finish with bitterness that dominates the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, a good DIPA. It’s definitely big in the hops - a bit to tarry / charred for me with a huge bitter aftertaste. The sweet fruits help to balance it a little, but not much.
13-JUN-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Hazy orange with gigantic fluffy head that lasts and coats the glass.
Extremely bitter nose with pine and grape fruit.
Taste is much the same with orange peel and tropical fruits as well.
Estremely bitter with a dose of malty backbone and a really really smooth body. I could drink this forever:) One of the best IIPA’s I have had. Goodgrief (2028) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUN 12, 2011
On tap. Light colored pour with frothy head. This is your stereotypical Sam Diego IPA. Lots of citrus hops, very dry in the mouth. Very similar in character to Pliny the Elder. Very nice. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - JUN 12, 2011
[Bottle] Clouded orange hue, a little lively out the bottle but enduring foam. Intensely aromatic hop aroma, orange and peach with some piney citrus. Some biscuity malt but failry light in body. The malt does provide a slight backbone but it’s predominantly anout the hops. Lots of grapefruit citrus lingering long and bitter in the finish, while there’s just a touch of tropical fruit complexity.
