Tap at Lost Abbey. Really good straight up tropical dank hop pale ale. Clear light orange with sticky sheets of lace. Pineapple, mango, kumquat nose. Grassy and herbal hops with perfect quenching malt body. No specialty malt nonsense. No cheese no nuttiness. These pale ales are really so much better than the sours coming out. Rock on. thome50 (1294) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - FEB 11, 2012
On tap at Port/Lost Abbey. Deep orange with off white head that lingers. Aroma of some citrus and grassy hops. More malt forward but the hops are still there. Taste is bready malt with some orange peel and hay. Overall, refreshing but not much to bring me back to this one. brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 24, 2012
Gold in color with a thick white head. A nice pale malt and bread aroma up front. Lots of citrus hops and citrus peel to go with the sweetness. Plenty of floral hops and a mild pine aroma as well. The flavor also has the sweet bread and toffee character as the aroma. There is also a strong flavor of citrus peel and fresh orange and grapefruit. Good floral and pine hop notes, too. On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear golden hue with a large and lasting, just off-white head with great lace. Aromas are hoppy, dank, herbaceous hops, tangerine, grapefruit and fresh cut grass. All hops, minimal malt or yeast note. Flavors are all hops again: mango, papaya, grassy, herbal and herbaceous. Mild malt character. Essentially an IPA in sheep’s clothing. Lively bubbles, dry and delicious. Could drink pints upon pints of this! peteinSD (1469) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 29, 2011
On tap at the source. Hazy yellow pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is clean, bitter hops, rye, and an extremely clean soft malt backbone finish, Taste is clean, dry and lingering hop bitterness with some light pine and crisp, dry malt. Tight aroma and flavor profile. Yet another extremely well done pale ale. Love it.

Draft at Port/Lost Abbey. Great clear copper color with a well-formed white head. Great intense hop aroma with dank, citrus, and pine. Awesomeness. The flavor has some sweet malt but is very hop-forward. Complex with grapefruit, pine, herbal notes, and resin. Medium body with some hop resins and good carbonation. An excellent pale ale that embodies San Diego very well. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 30, 2011
Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma. Tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor with light pine. Medium bodied. Tropical fruit and grapefruit lingers with light caramel. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2011
On tap at pp ocean beach... Pours a semi-hazy golden yellow brown hue and topped with a creamy medium white head... Aroma is fresh semi-dank grassy green hops with a backing sense of citrus. Solid aroma actually tha whets the palate... Flavors are favorable and citrusy with a light tartness on the backend. Firm grassiness to go along with it. Light to medium bodied. Nice all around but the aroma overtakes the flavor. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 6, 2011
Clear dark yellow with a fluffy white head. Big vegetal lawn clipping and pine hop aroma and a bitter taste that’s all hop resin. nightrider (754) - encinitas, California, USA - OCT 23, 2011
On tap at the brewery on a friday night.Golden-copper in color with a nice white head. Very pleasing on your palate. Good solid flavors of bittering hops and a restrained amount of sweet maltiness. Nice amount of fresh floral qualities and grass. The beer ends well balanced and somewhat dry. Really good pale ale.
