Pours dark as night with a two and a half finger mocha colored head that dissipates slowly and leaves a wonderful, thick lacing. Just a beautiful looking beer with an impressive head for a strong beer. Smells of bittersweet chocolate, some expresso, vanilla, some hoppy notes like grass or floral when it warms, lots of roasted breadiness as well some brown sugar sweetness. Taste starts with the bittersweet chocolate, expresso, some vanilla. In the middle, tons of roasted and bready malt shine through that smooths out the bitter chocolate and expresso. The finish then turns a little more bitter. This time its from the hops, not the bittersweet chocolate. Also get the expresso, chocolate, roasted flavors, some brown sugar, maybe some peat. As it warms more of the hop characters show through and you get more floral notes on the finish as well. Pretty full body with a very creamy and rich mouthfeel. Nothing Christmasy about this, just a great, rich imperial stout.

Bottle shared at home. Pitch black colour, medium brown head with surprisingly good retention. Nose is roasted malty, faint cocoa, light booze in the background. Taste is medium-high bitterness. Roasted malts, nuts, light soy sauce, faint ashy notes. Full bodied, medium carbonation. Very well hidden alcohol. Very nice brew overall!

Aroma:
Heavy aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, molasses, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.

Appearance:
Opaque black beer with heavy yeast and with a medium brown/dark brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate, molasses and mocha; ends slightly/medium bitter and dry with roasted malts,

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Even with the added brown sugar and Belgian candy sugar, this beer is still nowhere near overly sweet. Great roasted and coffee finish that goes on and on.

Aroma is lovely from roasted malts, nuts, coffee with light sweetness. Taste is, well, if youre a Swede - the foam tastes just like #julmust which was a pleasant surprise and the rest is light grainy and sweet malty with coffee and bitter roasted notes in the aftertaste. A really good Impy

From Cervezalandia. In Teku glass. Playing The Bug Butcher and Blackwells Epiphany Sweet, smooth, with no torrefact notes and a noticeable alcohol presence that goes up to the head pretty easily. Very foamy

The look is the classic dark stout, light brown head, the smell is vanilla, chocolate, malt, the taste is roasted, almost burn coffee beans, strong barley notes, bitter chocolate, sugar cane...this is one complex beer. ABV is a kick in the ass, I love this beer. A seasonal classic.
