Black pour with a a tall, creamy almond brown head that has great retention. Aroma of roast, smoke, chocolate, dark roast coffee, burnt sugar, spice, earth, pie spice, toffee, roasted nuts and pine and spicy hops. Flavor is full of spice, chocolate, coffee, roast and burnt toasted bread up front, then some pine, burnt citrus, toast, earthy wood, hints of fruit and maybe a tiny vegetal note. Heavy body, creamy, to slick entry, moderate, somewhat sharp carbonation, slick and dry, slightly astringent finish. The finish leaves something to be desired in the taste and palate, but it is pretty nice leading up to that.

1PT6oz bomber bb:N/A (vintage?), via fairly priced Bier&Co. - Bref: satisfying oldschool ImpStout with more roasty coal and liquorice character than childish candy sweetness. Has that leather and old manure astringency of original UK ImpStouts, SamSmith style, with a more pronounced coffee bean roast woven deep into its silky texture. Bitters equally distributed over hedgerow hops and roast, softly mitigated by brown sugars. Austere in a way that it urgently invites a blue cheese pairing or vanilla ice cream float.

Bottle 0.66l sample at Ratebeer Belgian Winter Gathering 2017 Antwerp, Belgium at Beerlovers Bar 25.02.2017. Thanks everybody for sharing great beers! First Batch 2009. Pour it dark color with no head. Aroma ginger, pine, molasis. Taste really kick of molasis, sweet caramel, sticky feel, some bourbon notes, candy sugar, heavy cloying sweetness, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish. Nice!

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with big and stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast and coffee, with notes of malt and yeast. Roasty and coffeelike flavour with notes of yeast and hops and touches of fruit. Roasty and coffeelike aftertaste. Well-balanced and decent.

Bottle, 10.5%. Minty aroma?! Black colour. Big stable brown head. The flavour is quite roasted and a little bready. Good mouthfeel. The alcohol is well-hidden, but a bit rough in the finish.

Klasyczny i wyrazisty RIS. w aromacie kawa i paloność głównie.

A very nice dessert imperial stout. Pours a deep black with a brown head. Smells of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Taste is smooth and sweet, with lots of vanilla and chocolate. A bit of licorice and and coffee in the finish. Had on tap at Beerworks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
