COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summer Pale Ale is our version of the iconic West Coast-style Pale Ale. Our brewers decided this beer should be all about the hops. Therefore, we brew it without any crystal malt. In choosing to brew a beer this way, we are left to focus solely on the expressive nature of the hops they choose for this beer.

Gold with an orange tinge and white head. aroma is pine and citrus. Huge hoppy flavor with lots of bitterness and some very faint biscuit notes. Body seems thin for a pale ale - perhaps it needs some of those non-fermenting dextrin components that the missing caramel malts would have supplied. This reminds me much more of a session IPA than a Pale Ale (West Coast or not).

Very hop forward, probably called an IPA anywhere but the left coast, but I appreciate that the call this an APA because it is not unbalanced, it just seems to let the hops float above the malt. Quenching, a bit floral, citrus, maybe some light peach/nectarine. Good stuff.

Draft at Elijah Ps. Rating from memory. Citrus, pine, and peaches. Gentle malts allow the hops to play. Quite nice.
