Bottle at event. Golden clear body, small head.Grain flavors and aromas throughout. Not enough hops on the back to real click in the pils category. Close but no cigar notalush (6002) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - DEC 28, 2016
Tap at the brewery - well-executed, hoppy, Czech-style Pils - clean, bready malt, leads to a dry, crisp finish - floral and grassy hops swell to a bitter, but not abrasive finish - lacks nuance, but a straightforward take without flaws, which is more than a lot of American Brewers can pull off. hershiser2 (3962) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pours clear golden with the tiniest dusting of a white head. Aroma of oyster crackers and leaves- I almost want to say a hint of smoke, but perhaps that’s coming from the fireplace. Flavor is toast crumbs, grass, leaves, light herbal notes, and bread crust. Not a huge fan of pilsners usually. I guess this isn’t bad. malvrich (379) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 27, 2016
2 month old bottle into a tulip.
A: Tawny mostly clear gold pour with a small tight frothy head. A few big slow bubbles rising. Decent retention and spotty lace.
S: Lightly toasted white bread/dough smell. Faint spicy floral hops.
T: Very bready but with a nice strong hop kick providing bitter bite and resin without overwhelming the malt. Bold flavors (for a pils) in very nice balance.
M: Lively carbonation. Refreshing and drinkable but not too light. Dry resinous finish.
O: Very good pilsner that I will buy again when I can find it.
