Almost black with a tan head. Fairly mild with roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. The body was medium and the finish rather bitter. An ok one.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany--almost opaque--with small beige ring of head and trace lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, caramel, chocolate. Taste is sweet roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, with mild coffee-like bitterness. Palate is full bodied with thick, foamy texture, average carbonation and nice mix of bitter and sweet finish. Deep brown to black, opaque. Moderate ran head good lacing. Nose of roasted malts, prune, other dry fruit, vinous. Similar flavour. Semidry. Minimal acidity. Light bitterness (hop + Alco). Light to medium body. Delicious. Great.

How: Pint tap pour.
Appearance: pours dark, rich brown almost black with tan head that resolves quickly to fine lacing.
Aroma: warm it up a little and roasted malts, coffee, molasses.
Taste: Malt, sweet with coffee and caramel notes, end notes of hops balance the profile and nice clean finish.
Palate: medium bodied with minimal carbonation.

Poured up dark brown, near black, with a thick tan head that disappeared quickly leaving lots of lacing. Aroma is mild, light malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste is coffee, lightly sweet mild chocolate and very smooth. Slightly bitter, but smooth finish. Thick and rich. Nice porter.
