7.2%ABV. Imperial porter. Tapped out dark brown. 35ºSRM. Nose has dark wheat toast with hint of honey and maple syrup. Nutty aroma, roasty. Hint of old leather funk. Mouthfeel is full and boozy. Palate has roasted malt, hint of char, fruity with cherry liqueur. Hops are noble. Finish is long wth charred wood and woody hoppy bitter. Overall, really good. Full bodied with some really nice complexity in the finish. Goes on Favorites List!

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2017 Aroma has lots of chocolate and dark red fruit with licorice and mocha thrown in...taste is loaded with chocolate and that roasted malt flavor...pretty much your quintessential porters and one of my favorites for the price

A no-frills porter, but a really good, classic example of the style. The sport appears dark brown with a little bit of tan head. The aroma is a very rich, slightly herbal porter malt. Flavor is rich, smooth and slightly sweet up front and then finishing with a little bit of clipped hoppiness. I could definitely drink this again.

HippieFee (483) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 30, 2017
Draft - Rich black color with a thin off white lace on the head. Pretty strong roasted malt flavor. Also has a pretty strong alcohol taste which is surprising.

3.5/5 appearance.. lifeless black, decent head and lacing. Aroma 7.5/10, nice chocolate, sweetness, coffee.. slightly artificial. Taste 7/10, more bitter and less sweet than I expected, some coffee.. not as much character I expected. Smooth, bitter. Not bad.

Bottle from The Brew House in Arlington. This is a highly roasted porter, some might say too much so. A bit of cigarette ash in there. It is dry. The bottle lists both OG and FG (in Plato) and I’m coming with around 80% attenuation. Fairly decent IBU count but not hop flavor. Chocolate. You can’t complain that there’s not much flavor, it’s really a question as to whether you like the ash. I do.
