COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Port City Revival Stout is a limited edition beer that we made with oysters from War Horse Oyster Company. Crafted by Head Brewer Jonathan Reeves, this beer is brewed in the British and Irish tradition of oyster stouts.

We steep War Shores Chesapeake Bay oyster shells in the brewing water to add mineral content and then add the oysters and their liquor to the brew during the boil. The oysters add a subtle whiff of a sea breeze, a slight briny character and a smooth textural element to the beer.

Tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour with a big frothy head. Roasty, and the oyster element does come out. This is really good.

This is the first oyster stout I had while actually eating oysters thanks to some event I stumbled into by accident at Glens Garden Market. Free food is awesome. This one has nice roast and a good dose of oyster saltiness. Pours black with good head and lacing. Bitter and lightly salty finish. Light oyster notes. These guys make good dark beers. Tap.

16oz pour at the Big Hunt in DC. Inky black with some creamy, slightly off white head. Nose is OK, malt, toast, some cracker, a little minerality, some nut. Flavor is the same, malt, a little licorice, cracker, a little chocolate, some minerality. Clean finish. So so.
