The fruit gives this beer a very sweet, dark fruit flavor, almost like plum.
Draught @ the taproom. Hazy dark brown with small foamy beige head, faint roasted malt aroma, high carbonation, bitter roasted malt taste with a hint of citrus, thin body, long bitter roasted malt finish. Nice, more of a schwartzbier taste though. Jow (4032) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 2, 2015
Tap at Draught 55. Jet black pour fine head. Nose is very hoppy and roasty. Tastes of roasted malt, burnt coffee, chocolate, piney hops, some earthy bitterness. Chalky mouthfeel. Decent blipp (9598) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Growler. Pours bear black with a beige head. Lighter roasted malts, chocolate, medium sweetness, and medium floral hops. Pretty good; closer to a hoppy porter than a black IPA, though. j12601 (13033) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 15, 2013
Growler at Max’s tasting. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin beige head. Soft cocoa, chocolate, roast, a touch of sweetness. Medium-bodied, chocolate, a touch of hops. Very sweet, malty. jredmond (8517) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Growler at Max’s. Pours a deep brownish black body with thin lacing. Aroma is light pine hop, chocolate and roast. Mouthfeel is medium and well balanced between the chocolate malt roasted character and the reserved, pine hop flavor. Nice.

Draft in peekskill- birds all. Dark pour, chocolate and malts. OK but could use more hops/pine etc. zillano9 (9) - New York, USA - MAY 19, 2013 does not count
Local brew at the top of my Black IpA list. This brewery is excellent all around.

tap at PJ tasting room - Dark pour with a nice head. Arouma is pine and sweet and roasted malts. The body is pretty sweet with roasted and some coffee notes. Lots of carbonation with adds some nice body. Rich chocolate notes and smooth. Light on the hops, but only compared to others who overdo it, IMO. Finishes bittersweet with some sugar residue.
