24 oz. Can from Kroger - Mt. Carmel. Poured clear pale color with a medium to large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with another average entry beer.

24 ounce can from a Kroger, opened 5/16/11. Pours a clear golden color with a large white creamy head that fades quickly. Some lacing is left behind. Big corn notes in the aroma, grain, grassy hops. The taste is very grassy hops... almost bitter, but not in a hop bitterness way. Grains, corn, some acridity. Thin bodied. It’s not often of two lagers, the light beer is better, but that is the case with Port Republic, and by quite a bit. alexsdad06 (10778) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - APR 2, 2015
24 oz. can from my local Kroger. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have grainy and corn malts, a hint of citrus, surprisingly not skunky, just not too much going on. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 30, 2013
24oz can, from a Kroger somewhere in Cincinnati (not my local one). Shared with some friends. I figured this was a malt liquor, at the price point, but it turned out to be much higher quality than expected. Totally clear golden color. Thin kind of bubbly white head. Couple bits of lace. Light to medium body. Very dry texture. Head fades to minimal. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Actually way better than expected. All friends I shared this with agreed. Lighter, kind of smooth carbonation, and just a light roughness. Gets significantly better and easier to drink as I go (perfect). Bready, light lemony citrus quality to the aroma. Just a light bite in the finish. A solid, super-cheap lager. It beats budweiser. I should have known better than to judge a kroger brand so harshly.. b3shine (9137) - Indiana, USA - NOV 14, 2012
24 oz can to pint. Looks alright; a transparent gold with white head and good carbonation. Smells doughy, bitter, and a little skunky, but better than hhe light version. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Pretty good for the price.

7/1/13. Giant fucken can from my main breau, b3shine! Fizzy yellow amber with a small off-white head that disappears. Faint corn, light malt, adjuncts, and apples all over this bitch, but pretty drinkable, and I hear it’s damn cheap. I’d toss it another courtesy drink if needed. Wilmington Island, Ga - Kroger Super Market - 24 oz can. Light golden pour, quickly dissipating white head, light bubble action. Aroma is neutral, brief hints of grass, some fresh lake water. Flavor is bland, non-offensive, some brief sweet honey notes, a touch of grassiness. Somewhat refreshing. Mouthfeel is overly crisp and dry. Had much worse. Well, it isn’t very good, but there sure is a lot of it. Smells like beer, tastes like beer. Cybercat (6121) - Georgia, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Comes out of the can a clear, wan yellow with a thick off-white head that sticks around for a bit. Aroma is weak, malty and nothing else. Flavor is better, though, malty with just a snip of fruit, but on the watery side. Texture is thin and just a little fizzy. Potable, but that’s it. Picked up a single 12-oz aluminum can during ABA Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Pours a clear golden straw colored lager with a rocky white head that has some nice retention that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some nice lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some corn, light grassy hops and some more fruity presence than the lighter version. Taste is light bodied, some light tropical fruit, golden grain malt with corn. Finish is a touch sweeter than the light version, some sweet creamed corn, fruit then a crisp, clean cut and some light apple aftertaste.
