24 oz can $1.00 at Kroger in Roswell, Ga. Pours a clear gold with a fizzy force-carbonated head. Aroma is bread dough and corn, with some skunk. Taste is inoffensive, but typical for a light beer. Bland and refreshing, but for a dollar, I’d buy it again.

Indeed bought at Kroger in Decatur GA. A lighter version of the regular port lager but not a whole lot of difference. The corn flavor is still there. This one isn’t horrible just your typical boring lite swill lager but nothing offensive to talk about.

Wilmington Island, Ga - Kroger Supermarket - 24 oz can. Light golden pour, initial bubbly white head. Pretty much a neutral aroma, hints of grass. Flavor is pretty bland but non-offensive. Picks up some distant sweet honey notes, some wet paper bag. Mouthfeel is leaning to the dry side. Had worse.

Ice-cold 24 oz can to pint. Looks alright for a light beer; a transparent gold with white lacing and good carbonation. Smells cheap, doughy, and a little bitter and skunky. Tastes like it smells, only watered down with a below-average mouthfeel. You get what you pay for.

24 ounce can, 99 cents at Kroger. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear straw gold color with about an inch white head that went away quickly. There’s a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, corn and a teenie bit of green apple. It tastes like sweet malt/grain along with a slight bitterness. Mouthfeel/body is light, it’s crisp and refreshing and easy enough to drink. There’s nothing offensive about this brew. It’s not great, but it’s not bad either. I wouldn’t buy this very often, but for the price I’d certainly pick this up again if I was in the mood for a light beer.

nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2012
bought a 24oz can for $1 at Kroger, I was told by cheap that this brew is made for the Kroger market. It was a pleaseant surprise, I took cheap’s advice and drank it straight from the can. Just a good grass cutting beer, loved it!

Now this is a beer, american style. Probably would be right at home drank from a brown paper bag. Can’t see the liquid because I drank it right out of the can; big 24 oz can is bigger than a bomber. The 3 in looks is for the nifty can label. I assume its just cheap plain clear yellah. First impression is not real bad and as a matter of fact is rather smooth for a three cent per ounce. Goes down too easy. .... Nice big can of american cheap pale lager; cheap and it taste like clean beer. Sail close to the wind premium american beer. Brewed just for kroger, heheh! Don’t you love it when they use the word premium to desscribe cheap pale lager? No real rude attributes, surprizingly acceptable. . Big thanks to Nike, this brew is a rocking racking big blue can of beer experience.

Picked up a single 12-oz aluminum can during ABA Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Pours a clear golden straw colored lager with a fast dissipating white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some corn, light grassy hops and a touch of rice. Taste is light bodied, some faint pear and golden grain malt with corn. Finish is quite watery, some sweet creamed corn then a crisp, clean cut and no aftertaste. A light beer it is.

I thought the light variation was actually a little better. A very pale beer, not much there. What is there though isn’t too bad. I felt that this type of beer is passed off commonly from more expensive breweries.
