Bottle courtesy Ibrew2or3. Pours a candy caramel apple brown, with reddish golden highlights and little lacing. Aromas of sweet caramel, pear, some toffee, chocolate, and a nice alcoholic touch. Caramel flavors are front and center, with toasted malts, chocolate, waves of nougat, and rounding out with a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied, sticky mouthfeel, bitter end balances it out well. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - JUL 20, 2008

Acquired via trade with after4ever. Pours dark brown to copper with a bit of haze and tan head. The aroma is malty sticky sweetness and some medium colored fruity esters. A good dose of alcohol too if the draw goes too long. The taste is sticky malt sweetness blending into fruity esters. Smooth and slick and turning into sugar coated pears along with nice lip smacking residual sweetness. Never gets too warming or hot. Nice stuff.

22 oz. bottle. From trade. No freshness date seen. Poured out a deep caramel color, with a thin, sticky head. Aromas are of roasted malts, some coffee bean, piney hops.
Flavors are somewhat strong & pronounced. Coffee bean, roasted malts, alcohol bite mix the flavors up somewhat. Medium mouthfeel, slick and oily. Decent enough beer, but nothing I’d seek out again. BeerandBlues2 (13719) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 9, 2008

bottle, from trade with 5000. Good aroma, sweet. Brady, plum, raisin, wet leather. Muddled orangy brown color, little to no head or lace. Sweet flavor. Very sweet at times. Coffee undertones, has a bitter streak, but not dominant flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel. bitter sweet finish. Kind of liked it,, though this one was a slow drunk beer. I dunno at times I was turned off by the aroma. So it’s a mixed feeling with this one. Ty5592 (1018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2008
