Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is fairly bready with just a bit of caramel to sweeten it up. Taste is slightly toasty with just a hint of caramel. OK, but nothing special at all. IrishBoy (4210) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 12, 2007
Bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles; nose of grainy caramel, a little piney hoppiness with a yeasty note; orange-amber with a big beige head that laces the glass; flavor has caramel malt, hop bitterness, and some citrus; a little hops in the finish. Pretty good amber. andrewje41 (3986) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color with a mild bready aroma. Medium body with a malty caramel flavor to it. A nutty finish. Decent, drinkable beer. Will have again for sure. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - APR 7, 2009
On tap at some place in Port Angeles, WA. Color was a dark caramel/amber. Aroma of chewy caramel and fruit, with a hint of flowers. Flavor was florally and fruity. Some bread in there as well. Pretty good tasting. robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - JUL 7, 2007
got this at the red apple in Bremerton.
pours golden with thin white head slightly cloudy and a little carbination.
smells of wood and toasted nuts.
texture is medium thickness and taste starts out bitter and then has a sweet aftertaste, nice citrus (lemon) that grabs the taste buds.
overall a nice balanced beer.

fairly aggressive pour yielded a respectable 1 1/2" head that quickly fell to a wispy film that sticks to the sides of the glass. Some sediment in the bottle and glass. Faint sweet aroma, balanced hop scent. Good balance in flavor between the initial sweetness and the floral bitter finish. Most ambers have little hop finish, this one is very nice. Amber, off white head. Caramel and hoppiness in the aroma with some floral notes. Fairly hoppy, lemon zest, floral, some caramel. Pretty good Amber. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 6, 2008
From a 22 ounce bottle--Another poor pour from Port Townsend. Medium amber bodied beer with a over carbonated whitish head. Infected. Obvious this brewery has bottling issues. Lots of caramel and medium to bold citrus and bitter hoppiness. Leave this one alone. Heck, forget Port Townsend. They kind of suck. monk191 (2003) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 27, 2013
A very nice amber. Pours a beautiful amber with a thick white head. Smells sweet and creamy. Taste is very thick and creamy, with a bitter finish. Good stuff! Had on tap at he brewery.
