A little too lightly hopped in my opinion. Fruity and sweet with virtually no hop presence. Creamy but boring. leitrim65 (402) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 23, 2004
Bland and boring. Nothing stands out in this beer. Light bodied with mild hints of fruit and malt. If there were hops, I couldn’t tell. DrunkenWeasel (224) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 16, 2006
Much like pale ale with almost no flavor or smell. A slight note of malt added to the slight hop note from the pale ale. Slightly darker than pale ale. Still crappy. Delirium (669) - Falmouth, Cornwall, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2006
Draught. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is a bit of piney and a little citrus hops, with maybe some sweet malt. Flavor starts with nondescript slightly sweet malt and maybe some piney hops, and finishes a little citrusy and slightly bitter. Certainly drinkable, but not too exciting. mcberko (17845) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 22, 2014
On tap at Port Townsend, pours hazy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out light floral hops, and a tequila-like fragrance. Flavour brings out lots of caramel malts, some sugar, and a light hop balance. Pretty ordinary amber that is decently balanced.

From a 22 ounce bottle--Another poor pour from Port Townsend. Medium amber bodied beer with a over carbonated whitish head. Infected. Obvious this brewery has bottling issues. Lots of caramel and medium to bold citrus and bitter hoppiness. Leave this one alone. Heck, forget Port Townsend. They kind of suck. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is fairly bready with just a bit of caramel to sweeten it up. Taste is slightly toasty with just a hint of caramel. OK, but nothing special at all. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 24, 2015
Draft. Minimal off-white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is orange, some spicy, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, some spicy, light grass. Light-medium body, light acidity. amg800 (237) - Ada, Michigan, USA - AUG 4, 2011
Pours a deep amber, white head, heavy lacing.
Medium-light bodied. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2006
Draft at The Upstage, PT. Pours a dark amber with a bit of tannish froth atop. Much as it pains me to knock the smaller operators of the brewing world, this is a vacant beer and there’s no way round that fact. Big bready nose with nothing else to say, and a flimsy little body with perfectly forgettable carb--not flat, not bubbly. The attack, mid-palate, and finish are all startlingly neutral. Amazingly watery for, presumably, having so many more calories than a megalager.
