Our secret weapon. A fulsome, winsome strong ale. A deep copper tinged brew for the true aficionado, longer fermentation and thrice hopping bring about a complex soft bitterness allied to a malt induced sweetness with the characteristic oily Fuggles hop perfume. Not just for students. Once "stuffed" savour the flavour of a glass as a digestif... True "Aroma-therapy".

Grain: Pale Malt, Roast Barley, Black Malt, Flaked Barley.
Hops: Galena, Nugget, East Kent Goldings.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium creamy off white head. The aroma is yeast, sweet fruit, malt, light hops and has a slight bretty note. The flavour is quite alcoholic at first. Then comes the fruit and the yeast and ends up quite bitter with a slight bretty note.

Tap, poured a dark brown color, small wispy tan head. Aroma was light roasted notes, dry yeast notes, mild, earthy hops. Flavor was relatively mellow, but had a nice, lasting earthy hop and roasted chocolate malt finish.

Draft. Dark brown color closr to black. Nice head that lacing lasts along the side of the glass. Aroma of banana, cheery and carmel. Looks and starts off as a belgian strong or abbey dubbel, but taste is very drinkable ands unlike any ESB I’ve had before. Not bad

Bottle, ty for the very rare treat Garthicus! This one is really appreciated!!! Pours great with a nice dark orange / light brown and a huge frothy inviting white head. Big floral aroma, dusty dry yeast as well and a hint of alcohol. Taste - big upfront burnt malt character giving way to a ton of lingering english hops. I mean lingering, these things keep going for quite a while! Body is medium to light for the style. Taste is very good and quite unique really - I am sort of off these burnt malt sort fo these but these hops kick in and just kick your ass, in a good way. well done porterhouse, I quite enjoyed this one!
