Tap, copper pour, off white head, nose is caramel, taste is caramel, malty, sweet, yum. erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUL 2, 2014
Amber bodied and stable head. Odd middle between dusty hops, cough drop, cereal and amber malts, thrown together with a biscuity yeast. Not what I expected or wanted at the moment, but not horrible. Taste is more with a plan, it seems, fairly bitter yet classic still. Not horrible, but not in style either. Didn’t set me on fire. Bottle. Deep red-copper body, thick off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and light phenols (band-aid). Sweet caramel malts, lightly toasty, ascerbic bitterness. Harsh finish. Disappointing. superspak (6208) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUN 11, 2014
330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep ruby copper color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, raisin, apple, pear, toast, brown sugar, light roast, bread, herbal, woodiness, and toast/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, raisin, pear, apple, toast, brown sugar, bread, toffee, light roast, herbal, woodiness, and toast/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy/woody bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, raisin, pear, apple, toast, brown sugar, bread, toffee, light roast, herbal, woodiness, and toast/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hop, and fruity yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, lightly creamy, and fairly crisp/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Engish strong ale. Good complexity and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to sip on. This bottle was lightly oxidized, but was a nicely enjoyable offering. Taboada (1531) - Compostela (Galiza), SPAIN - JUN 5, 2014
Bottle tasted on 04/06/2014. Dark coppercolour with a beige head. Some sweet notes of caramel and some hops on the aroma. Taste is strong with bready malts and bitter herbs. Carbonation is Ok. I enjoy a lot the degustation of this beer. Very drinkable and refreshing. Next one please!

bottle at home - weirdly, no real smell or aroma. Poured dark copper with white head that dissipated quickly. Taste is sweet, malty, raisin-like. Sippable. kerenmk (5357) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 17, 2014
Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. Clear brown-gold, white head. Sweet, cooked apple aroma. A little oxidized, fruity and sweet in the mouth. Medium-to-light body, unpleasing bitter finish. Psytron (2563) - Turku, FINLAND - MAY 14, 2014
No smell. Copper colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of alcohol, raisin, hop. Flat carbon, surprisingly light body. Sweet. Quite nice strong ale. bhensonb (15965) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 13, 2014
Bottle with clip top from Wine and Cheese in Clayton, MO. as Braonblásta. Pours very dark copper with a beige head. Aroma is herbal/spicy. Med body at least. Flavor is woody with spice and herb. The flavor is strong. Seems to get a bit earthy. Really tasty UK style ale. thb (847) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 25, 2014
Rich brown with thick pillowy head. Aroma is alcohol, nutty and caramel malts. Sipping it is definitely malt-heavy - nuts and toffee. Some hop aroma - mostly floral...but basically it’s a malt story. Lingering bitterness. Chewy mouthfeel. Doppelbock-ish with hops.
