Aroma: soya sauce, alcohol. Appearance: black color, no head. Taste: low bitterness (herbs), DMS, Irish diacetyl, roasted malts. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, roasted finish. Overall: Rather FES then RIS, but ok. No fireworks.

33cl bottle at Porterhouse Temple Bar, Dublin. It pours a brown color with ruby edges and a small tan head. Aroma is sweet and chocolatey, with notesof caramel, dark chocolate and light vanilla. Taste is again medium sweet and chocolatey, with more notes of cocoa, roasted malts and caramel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, decently tasty stout

Nice malty aroma, standard brown/black pour with respectable lacing. Flavour is good, nice maltiness but missing additional notes of spices or chocolate etc.

Poured jet black with thick foamy tan head. Aroma: Chocolate malt, espresso. Tastes of dark chocolate, strong espresso, nice and bitter. Linger nicely on the tongue, really good imperial stout!

Appearance is black, a one finger light brown head which settles down. Aroma- very chocolatey and milky, dark malt, fudge, caramel. Taste- big bitterness, roasty malts, coffee, chocolate, hint of leather, medium to full mouthfeel, quite a long and bitter finish, solid malt backbone. Good, maybe more stout and less imperial.

brigg (643) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 19, 2015
(Bottle) Black body with ruby highlights, small to medium dissipating head. Aroma of candy sugar, bourbon, wine, wood, dark fruit. Flavor is sweet up front, with a very bitter finish; molasses, coffee, bourbon; some pine in the finish; alcohol is very noticeable. Maybe a little unbalanced; bitterness and alcohol kind overpower and stay with you afterward. Medium body.

Bottle. Coffee and roasted barley on the nose. Taste is chocolate and espresso. Medium to full body and plenty of dryness. I think the imperial Irish stout moniker is appropriate. Other than the typical nitro carbonation, this is a full throttle Irish stout all the way. I like it.

330ml bottle bought from Kris Wines a couple of days ago. 7.5%, BB Sep 2015, very nice presentation. Black, big foamy tan head endures throughout, full lacing. Aroma is musty, a little yeast, slight copper, some chocolate and spice. Body is medium to light, soft carbonation, pretty foamy. Taste is tangy malt, semisweet, drying, a little sharp and fairly bitter. Over-roasted coffee, woody, tangy dried fruits. A little too sharp for me.
