(Old notes) Tap, at Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Jet black, thick creamy white head, good fine condition. Pleasant sweet chocolate and a slight berry fruitiness in the nose, in the mouth there is a delicate blend of sweet chocolate and a grainy powderiness which becomes quite bitter with time, finish has lingering powdery chocolate bitterness and some muted liquorice notes. great to finally track this one down! Pours deep ruby Brown with thick grey-beige head. Dry dusty cocoa and red fruit nose. Moderate body, dry, quite tannic, low residual sweetness, bitter dark malt, vegetal hops. Pretty decent but not really worth the wait...

On tap at The Porterhouse, pours a deep dark brown with a slight red tinge and a small tan head. Nose brings out chocolate truffles - smells great. Flavour is quite rich, with dark chocolate truffles dominating. Smooth, fairly rich, and creamy on the palate. Finished slightly metallic. Very nice. Dark black stout, with a nice layer of rough almond foam. Unbelievable. The beer smels like chocolate indeed. A sweet chocolate smell arises from the beer. The taste is also of stout accompanied by a clearly distinguishable chocolate aroma. In the finish you taste some fresh hops. The mout sensation is no different than of an other stout. Draught. Pours pitch black with a dense foamy white lasting head. Aroma is all chocolate, like a chocolate milkshake. Taste is of milk chocolate, vanilla. Sweet but not overpowering. Really enjoyable.

Draught at Porterhouse Central. Big black brown pour, high nitro stout head. Gorgeous milk chocolate nose. Massive chocolate flavour too. Light body, light on the palette. Smell of chocolate, cocoa. Dark brown colour, light brown head. Strong aroma of cocoa, chocolate. Also some licorice to be found. Mildly bitter, sweet. Slightly dry texture. Too strong chocolate flavour.
