Notoriously difficult to brew in Germany and called Shizen beer by German Brewers. Haus Weiss offers everything from a classic wheat beer; subtle banana flavour touching on mango.

fonefan (51574) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2007
Draught @ Porterhouse, WC2, London. Hazy yellow / orange color with a small white head. Aroma is yesty, sweat, banana. Flavor starts moderate sweet and light acidic and bitter, ends moderate sweet and acidic and light bitter, with a average duration.

Ungstrup (38585) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 16, 2006
Draft at the London location. At the bar, this was listed at 5.0%. An unclear orange beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of bananas and wheat. The flavor is sweet and artificially candy like with notes of orange, banana, and bubblegum. Too sweet - and too artificial in its impression.

Very standard wheat beer, light yellow, with citrus nose, and light fruity flavour

2006. On tap in Dublin. Frothy pale wheat beer. Intense bubblegum flavour, more so than any other wheat beer I’ve tried before or since. Remarkable flavour!

harrisoni (19408) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2005
Draught at Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Wheat beer with flavours of banana and bubble gum. Very refreshing it not utterly unique

Hazy orange-yellow, creamy white head. Loads of bubblegum and banana in the nose. Loads of bubblegum and wine gums in the flavor. Lemony aftertaste.

Looks the part - orange, loose frothy head. Has the nose right too - slightly orange and corriander bent to the obligatory banana direction. Taste matches, but a bit thin - an OK summer quaff.

JoeMcPhee (9580) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2004
Cloudy appearance (but not very cloudy). Pale yellow colour. Subtle aroma of bubble gum and banana, no clove at all. Flavour is similar with a lot of wheaty dryness. Banana esters and a dry finish. Light citrus character as well.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2006
Draught - Porterhouse, London. A hazy yellow-brown coloured beer with a slight off white head. The aroma is full on bubblegum with not much else in the way of estery notes. The taste has some bruised banana and is quite phenolic. Quite a lot going on for a hefe. Decent.

KnutAlbert (6796) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 13, 2006
Draft at Porterhouse Central, Dublin. A wheat beer to be envied. Peachy and lemony. Smooth grain and the proper citrus edge.
