COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Pours black with a good, foamy, beige/tan head. Aroma is herby/oceany and smooth burnt malt. Medium body; foamy carbonation. Theres a medicinal aspect (oysters?) and some nice smooth burnt malt. Good drink.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid roasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture with lively carbonation. Medium roasted malt chocolate flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good and my expectations where met.

Draft - Slightly soured malts, cinnamon and molasses. Deep brown with a light brown head. Cocoa, toasted malts and some light spice. Tasty, but not a typical oyster stout.

Keg at Porterhouse Covent Garden. It pours very dark brown with a thick, dense beige head. The nose is caramel, salt, bonfire and bacon. The taste is salt, charcoal, smoke, wood, liquorice and caramel, with a dry finish. It is much lighter than the Wrasslers Stout they do. It is a fairly simple stout that is perhaps a bit too thin for my liking.

11.2 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear very dark brown color with a voluminous brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of chocolate, light roastiness and a briny note. The taste is chocolate, floral and fruit hop notes, light smoke and roastiness and a mineral quality from the oysters. Medium bodied and quite smooth. Good stout.
