COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Draught, KØ11. Weakly fruity aroma. Almost black colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is roasted and a little watery. Rough carbonation.

Pours black with a good, foamy, beige/tan head. Aroma is herby/oceany and smooth burnt malt. Medium body; foamy carbonation. There’s a medicinal aspect (oysters?) and some nice smooth burnt malt. Good drink.

Scopey (15431) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2011
Keg at Porterhouse Covent Garden. It pours very dark brown with a thick, dense beige head. The nose is caramel, salt, bonfire and bacon. The taste is salt, charcoal, smoke, wood, liquorice and caramel, with a dry finish. It is much lighter than the Wrasslers Stout they do. It is a fairly simple stout that is perhaps a bit too thin for my liking.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, roasted malt, earthiness and light mint. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt and light mint with a crisp finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Dark brown, looks transparent in front of a candle. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, a bit of dark bread hintes and a bit of spicy notes. Slightly sweetish flavor with light roastiness, a bit of chocolate and coffee notes, light saltiness and a finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid roasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture with lively carbonation. Medium roasted malt chocolate flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good and my expectations where met.
