Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Apariencia: Marrn muy oscuro; casi negro y espuma que se ve reducida a una fina capa rpidamente. Aroma: Ligero y agradable. Sabor: A malta tostada con ese toque seco y ese algo diferente que imagino le aportan las ostras.

330ml bottle, gift from Mark. Many thanks Mark. Pours an expected deep, dark with a small tan topping. Aroma of roast, light smoke, briny oysters (which I did not expect). Taste is smooth roast, soft salty bitterness, light oysters, comes together quite well.

This was the St. Patricks Day special at the Foundry, served with two slices of Irish soda bread. The bread was delicious, but the stout was underwhelming. My first oyster stout, and it was on nitro, so that helped. Not much aroma, certainly no oysters. Had that classic Guinness look to it, but it was thin and annoyingly a little bitter and a little salty. I dont drink Guinness any more, but I prefer it to this. Thank the gods (and Sonny and Sally) for that soda bread.

Tap @ The Porterhouse, Dublin shared with Niilstrong. Brown color with a dark red glare coming through, medium sized creamy beige head that lasts for a long time and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, soft roast and a little smoke in the distance. Taste malts, again light roast and a hint of smoke, a sweetish hint there as well, dark malt bitter finish. Solid.

Nitro keg at Craft Beer Rising. A deep brown colour with a creamy off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, slight liquorice, a hint of saltiness and subtle caramel. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some oyster, slight caramel and subtle liquorice. Light bodied but a smooth texture. A dryish, subtley salty, roasted bitterness in the finish. Been a nitro stout this looks great and is so smooth and creamy. Its simple but adding oyster to a well put together stout really adds to this good beer.

I bought this bottle at Beerlovers in Vienna. I drank it with Fred in Lausanne. In my point of view, it is a nice stout, average, easy to drink for the beginners. The color is a nice deep black body, low carbonation for the style but it is normal, thin foam. The taste is overall dry, some oysters notes but it is not that strong that others oatmeal stout, roasted, malt, hop, a bit watery and dry finish.

Bottle. Dark Brown in colour; Reddish against light. Malty; roast malts, liquorice, coffee. Hoppy; slight herbal and spicy hops. Slight salty notes. Couldnt detect oyster. Sweetish roast malty. A mildly flavoured sweet stout. Easy drinking. (2011-06-06)
