33cl pull-off bottle bb10/2015. Nice amber-red pour, ok head. Watery intimations of buttered waffles, candied nuts and something slightly off give way to first pleasant caramel-on-nuts, caramelised butter, then harsh and full-on wood-resinous walnut bolster and earbutter bitters. An unbalanced pleasure, like many a St. Patrick’s Day. Pumpkin87 (248) - - MAR 14, 2015
Attractive dark auburn with small, tight, off-white head that reduces quickly but leaves some lacing and skim.
Nose is a mix of grassy hops and caramel malts. They persist on the palate along with nuts, cereal and slight farmhouse notes. Light body with slightly bitter finish, but not overwhelming so.
A modest but serviceable beer, which takes some note of American over-hopping tendencies but reins them into a more disciplined, drinkable structure. You could have a decent session while playing darts without being distracted by the brew. Idiosynkrasie (7847) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 11, 2015
