Bottle. Reddish brown beer with a very strong and handsome foamy head. The aroma is malty and milky, and the flavour is fairly bitter with a malty and roasted nature. Overall a nice drinkable bitter beer with malty elements.

11.2 ounce bottle from Bier 30. Pours a clear reddish color with a thick white head. A sweet nose of big toasted malts and caramel. A bit of a bitter and metallic bite in the flavor alongside caramel, light fruit and toast. Very nice. Loads of flavor for 4.4%.

330ml brown bottle. Amber coloured brew with a small white cap on top. Good lacing. Nose has caramel malts and a light whiff of tea. Caramel malty flavour with a light hop note. Mild malty aftertaste and light bitterness. Body is light. A pretty simple beer overall, but good for the style, and honestly better than expected.

Pours a deep reddish brown with a bubbly white head. Aroma is musty and slightly fruity. Taste is dry and bitter with some malty notes. The carbonation and the hops make this a dry beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orange with a big tight off white head that leaves a nice lace. The aroma is very malty with some light vegetal notes that fade in time. I hate to use one beer to describe another but this smells a good bit like old speckled hen with some depth to it. Caramel, dead leaves, & some earthy hops are really the dominant players in this bouquet. The flavor is really rather nice, I’ve come to expect overly sweet & caramelized flavors from my Irish Reds, this one has a hop character that is stronger than any sweet caramel flavor lurking around this beer, herbal, earthy, and bitter, this is more like it. This is not to say that the beer is not malty, in fact that sort of autumnal nuttiness I usually associate with the best Oktoberfest beers is all over the place here. The caramel is most felt at the front and is matched with a light cherry like fruitiness, but the beer finishes with a pleasant enough roasty character. The beer has a light carbonation that carries it well across the palate. By all means a very tasty beer.

Good beer for the style, properly bittered (low), and has a nice caramel-like malt to take over. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
