Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.
Draft @ Porterhouse, Temple Bar. Pitch black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some dark chocolate, espresso and hops. Taste follows aroma plus tobacco. The hops are much more prominent in this one than in Porterhouse's other Stouts/Porters. Nice dry hoppy finish. Very balanced. Medium carbonation. A very lovely Stout. kaserov (985) - Oviedo, SPAIN - NOV 7, 2017
Color negro con capa de espuma marrón de tres dedos de grosor (apariencia de espuma de afeitar y muy buena retención). Carbonatación media. Textura oleosa y ligeramente chispeante. Aroma a lúpulo, herbal, malta torrefacta. Extraño y difícil de definir. En boca muy torrefacta y ligeramente herbal, con presencia de café, terrosa. Amarga desde el inicio del trago y con una sequedad notable. Postgusto bastante amargo. migleskun (11) - SPAIN - OCT 14, 2017
