UPDATED: FEB 8, 2013 The old Portland Brewing moniker has been revived!
22oz bottle from Roth’s Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem.
Pours a dark golden with a rosy tint especially in the generous head.
Estery ,spicy, banana wheat aromas, slight semi-vegetal fruitiness if that makes any sense!
Taste is semi dry with definate rose hip tones ( used to eat rose hip skins back in Scotland as a kid),vegetal, slight black peppercorn, then a slight plum taste. Altogether quite complex yet light.
Nice palate for the style..its light enough to aid drinkability.
I liked this one quite a bit..but the rose hip tastes might be off putting to some.
Bottle from Fred Meyer. Light copper in color. Sweet yeasty nose. Very sweet smelling with a whiff of perfume. Sweet fruity yeast flavors up front. Going into a lightly bitter hopped finish. Tastes like a straight up Belgian ale to me. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 14, 2015
An above average Belgian style. Pours a clear Orange with a white head. Smells of citrus, herbs and rose. A bit like a saison. Taste is a bit thin and watery to start, but with a nice citrus rose petal taste in the finish. Had on tap at Pyramid Brewery for SF Beer Week. moosenix (3) - Oregon, USA - SEP 15, 2014 does not count
I loveee this beer. I’m a moderate beer drinker so I’m no expert. Pours Amber and the aroma is so yummy. Didn’t get bitter at the end. Surprisingly big rose flavor. Arayaga2 (2188) - portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Light Amber with a bit of white head. Aroma and taste are estery, spicy and sweet. Pleasant surprise from Portland. $1/12oz

Pours a bright golden color with a thin cap of head. The nose is of roses and cereal The taste starts with dry with spicy esters and a touch of citrus. An earthy/bready base comes next with the florals and grass rounding out the end.Kinda saison-esque.

Bottle... Poured golden with a thin head that faded quickly. Mostly Belgian yeast esters on this one. Pretty pedestrian. A little herbalness and floral tones with lemongrass, citrus, and some malt sweetness. Belgian yeast finish. Syzzer (647) - Oregon, USA - MAR 13, 2013
This is an ok Belgian. Some rose, great clear amber. Good initial flavor then boring finish. 5 Patrice. 5.5bd bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light spice aroma. Yeast and malt flavor with light spice and light fruitiness. Medium bodied. Yeast and malt linger with light fruitiness and light floral notes. douglas88 (9049) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 7, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A nice sweet candy and floral nose. Pretty smooth flavors, some biscuit, sugar, corn, big rose. Certainly a little rose goes a long way here. This beer works. Sledutah (7488) - Utah, USA - MAR 3, 2013
12oz bottle picked up at the state store
Appearance: Pours clear golden with small white head that dissipates quickly
Aroma: Floral, banana, clove and spices
Taste: Belgian yeast, herbal and bitter floral, dry
Nice and refreshing, the wife is going to finish the glass.
