RATINGS: 19   MEAN: 3.21/5.0   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.16/5   IBU: 28   EST. CALORIES: 117   ABV: 3.9%
A smooth, nutty, malty, full-flavored ale with a creamy white head. An original blend of six types of malted barley and two varieties of Northwestern-grown hops. The Nut Brown makes a good after-dinner, dessert beer. This one went down so fast we couldn’t finish describing it--one of the best nut brown ales you’ll find anywhere.

On tap at the brewery in Pocatello, Idaho. This arrived with an excellent head over a nearly opaque, brown-black body. Attractive, malty aroma. Flavor: lightly bitter with hints of roast coffee; semi-sweet chocolate, slightly burnt toast and black bread. Smooth, medium-light body.

IndianaRed (5040) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 19, 2016
On tap at the brewery Clear deep reddish brown. Toasted brown malt aroma slightly of maple syrup. Flavor though was a bizzare chemically papery flavor. Just off.

BuckeyeBoy (8500) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 28, 2016
On tap at the brewery pours out brown topped with a small tan head. Nose is chocolate nutty roast malts some grain. Taste is more of the sweet chocolate roast malts and a little coffee.

Best option here. Thin on tongue but wonderful toasty flavor. Good malt base of grain. Very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Amber-brown beer with a cream head. Caramel and light toasty aroma. Nutty and caramel flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Caramel and earth linger with backing PNW hops and light caramel.

Had on draft at the brewery. There are notes of chocolate, coffee, fruity, and roasty. A nice enough beer. Nothing really impressive, but it is drinkable.

This would make a great gift for a few certain people in my life. Draft. Hazy. Rown color, medium tan head. Aroma of nuts and toast. Taste is nutty brown bread decent.

Tap: Clear brown with a frothy light brown head. Vanilla, nutty aroma. Thin bodied brown ale with light flavors of nuts, malts, very mild bananas with a slight bitter aftertaste. Not bad for a Pocatello brewery.

nearbeer (5610) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2010
Draft pint at the brewpub. Dark brown with a lasting creamy head. Nose is toasted nut, cocoa, light espresso, caramel. Flavor is cocoa, malt, toasted walnut, light char. Near-medium body is smoothly carbonated, easy drinking with a slight chalkiness providing a nice balance to the big malts.
