Growler kindly shared by Jason! The beer pours to a deep mahogany body with a creamy khaki head. The aroma is sweet barley sugar and light tobacco. Some grassy hops and molasses. The flavor is fantastic. Very, very easy to drink. Deep malt flavors and sweet barley. Tobacco and a light molasses. Rich but finishes clean. 11+%? seems more like 4.5%. :) The beer may be the most session-able high ABV one I’ve ever had. ilovedarkbeer (2741) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - FEB 13, 2010

Growler. Pours cherry/burgundy. I’m sick so I can’t smell much on it. Tastes rich, but extremely smooth. Would never know that it has as much alcohol as listed. A little bit sour at the end. Good molasses taste to it. Extremely tasty. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Growler! Poured a rich shade of dark brown with a moderate cap of beige head. The aroma picked up warm, aged caramel, molasses, and a touch of dark fruit with alcohol undertones and leafy hoppage.. very good stuff! The flavor found well-caramelized biscuit and molasses malts with lesser caramel and fruit.. dry, earthy spices and brown sugar around.. alcohol warmed it up, but nowhere near the supposed 11.5%! Heavier-bodied and very malty overall on the palate.. balance was spot-on, and this is one that’ll sneak up on you. hopdog (12549) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 30, 2010
