Thanks to shellebrownies on BA! Nice earthy pour, pale gold, a healthy amount of sediment, and a roiling carbonation that seems fitting. Apple and bread in the nose, again more or less as expected. Palate is a bit underwhelming and the beer is thinner than desired. Also slightly bland to taste, with fairly generic bready malts, light fruit, and just a hint of bitter flavors to the finish. Decent but not much more than that. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 13, 2010
Pours lighter than many of the style, closer to pale yellow. White head. Bready nose and some grassy hops. Less caramel than expected, but sufficiently malty. Some hay. Alcohol well hidden. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 8, 2010

Pours a pale yellow with a one finger white head. Nose is grassy and bready, malty, some caramel, a bit fruity, estery. Flavor is sweet and bready, malty, hay, grassy hops, mild caramelly notes. Palate is sweet with some hay. mcox90 (2107) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 31, 2010
On tap at brewpub. Served in a tulip glass. Poured a pretty apricot color with a slowly receding 1" white head. Lazy loops of lacing left behind. Aroma is sweet and fruity with yeasty highlights. Solid, syrupy palate with low carbonation. Random fruit like flavor with soft hints of vanilla and butter. Finish was a little bitter. No evidence of the 8.5% alcohol in the taste so beware. Very enjoyable.

Poured into a pint glass it came to me with a two finger white head that wasted away to a nice lace. The body of the brew was an apricot orange in color.
I got typical aromas from the Belgian yeast plus I also had some wonderful spices. The flavor was slightly towards the sweet side with a light bitter finish. It had a light to medium feel in my mouth with good carbonation.
I enjoy this brew and always grab a few while its on tap

Bottle at PPRBSG09. Cloudy golden-orange pour. Aroma is a mess. Infected and stale with a touch of leathery character. Soft sweet caramel and a bit of tartness. Has some bottling issues going on. Meh. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 10, 2009
Bomber at the PPRBSG09. Pours a light hazy coppery orange with a thin head. Aroma is herbal, lemon grass, orange zest, citrus, a touch infection- cheese, with dusty and musty cobwebs and wet dog. Flavor is toasty malts, a bit stale, caramel, with tart lemon rind, citric and light lactic acid tartness, with salt brine, hints of cherry pit kriek astringency and dirt and earth. Kinda messy. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUN 6, 2009
22 oz. bottle sampled at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a cloudy antique gold with a white head. Aroma of apple and citrus. There is a bit of a tanginess in the nose as well. The flavor is malt along with a bit of tangy fruit. Heavily (excessively) carbonated. This beer seems off a bit. LilBeerDoctor (4032) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2009
Bottle at PPRBSG09. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, malt, yeast, and yogurt. Flavor is tart, sour, and yogurty. I think this bottle was infected?
