PPRBSG09. Pours an orange amber body with a white head. Dusty floral citrus notes an earthy bitterness. Citrus with a low acidity some light apple leather tones. Not bad. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Thanks jdubfl for the share. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Nose is spice, herb, tartness, and pepper. Flavor is similar with some nice herb and spice notes and some mild smokey malts. Mild in flavor, and booze is well-hidden in this 8.5% beer. Medium bodied and interesting. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 10, 2009
Bomber at the PPRBSG09. Pours a light hazy coppery orange with a thin head. Aroma is herbal, lemon grass, orange zest, citrus, a touch infection- cheese, with dusty and musty cobwebs and wet dog. Flavor is toasty malts, a bit stale, caramel, with tart lemon rind, citric and light lactic acid tartness, with salt brine, hints of cherry pit kriek astringency and dirt and earth. Kinda messy. muzzlehatch (4952) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2006
Sample at EBF 2006. Lasting bits of head and surprsing lacing coat the plastic atop a hazy bright apricot body....musty, farmy nose, really quite funky and weird with more than a bit of the barnyard animal character that ought to disgust but instead interests, touches of citrus keeping it in check....body is rather sugary, too sweet really with candied fruits, though some earthy herbal notes help out...interesting how much better this was than the same brewer’s saison, tasted at the same time. emacgee (4674) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Pours a pale yellow with a one finger white head. Nose is grassy and bready, malty, some caramel, a bit fruity, estery. Flavor is sweet and bready, malty, hay, grassy hops, mild caramelly notes. Palate is sweet with some hay.

Very strong fruity esters with light touches of higher alcohols/phenolics and a touch of buttery diacetyl. Hazy amber-brown coloured body is topped by a low, off white head that recedes to a lasting cover. Grainy and sweet with plenty of tannins and fruity esters. Texture is quite syrupy with somewhat low carbonation. It almost seems that this one isn’t quite ready. On tap at the Extreme Brewers Fest 2006. Thanks to shellebrownies on BA! Nice earthy pour, pale gold, a healthy amount of sediment, and a roiling carbonation that seems fitting. Apple and bread in the nose, again more or less as expected. Palate is a bit underwhelming and the beer is thinner than desired. Also slightly bland to taste, with fairly generic bready malts, light fruit, and just a hint of bitter flavors to the finish. Decent but not much more than that. LilBeerDoctor (3904) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2009
Bottle at PPRBSG09. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, malt, yeast, and yogurt. Flavor is tart, sour, and yogurty. I think this bottle was infected?

22 oz. bottle sampled at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a cloudy antique gold with a white head. Aroma of apple and citrus. There is a bit of a tanginess in the nose as well. The flavor is malt along with a bit of tangy fruit. Heavily (excessively) carbonated. This beer seems off a bit. PilsnerPeter (3045) - Flushing, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2009
Bottle: Cloudy orange pour with a dense off white head. Light acetic notes in the aroma- seems infected. Heavily carbonated- acetic appleish notes (maybe acetaldehyde). Mild bitterness. A bit off.
