Medium gold with nice white head. Nice lace. Not a lot of hops aroma, but very strong pine hops flavor. Good IPA. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a thin white head. Perfumey aroma of citrusy and resinous hops. Good flavor of fruity, resinous hops with a sturdy malt backbone and some sweetness. The body is medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. A good, well-done IPA. Corps d’épaisseur semi mince, carbonatation bien active. Bien fait quoique semble rapidement unidimensionnelle! Sample at the VTBrewfest - Poured a nice orangeish amber in color with a nice whitish head that held on for a while. Aroma was bursting with citrus/pine hops, but with some malty sweetness in the background. Flavor was big on on hop bitterness with cirus and pine. Malt flavor completely lost in the hops. Good beer for a true hophead, like me, but probably not to everyne’s liking... MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - MAR 19, 2005
2005 Draft at the brewery: Pours light orange with a fairly small head. Pretty big hop aroma followed by a nice big hop flavor. Light citrus and a bitter hop finish. Very nice.

very very good ipa, sweet start, very spring-like bouquet with hints of lace, slightly bitter finish, reminds me of a sweet forest! ClarkVV (6718) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 23, 2004
UPDATED: APR 20, 2006 2004 draught at the brewery. Light orange color, moderately hazy with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma has plenty of fresh NW hops in it. Flavor is much the same. While it’s good and drinkable, it’s about the same as every other american india pale ale. Low malting leads to low sweetness. Tons of bitter hops contributing a mild astringency. Whatever, certainly makes for a very uninspired review. tiggmtl (4545) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2004
Strong grapefruit hop nose. Clear golden coloured body with decent white head that recedes to cover. Overly bitter though hop flavour is excellent. All C-hops. Malt balance is somewhat lacking. Body is fair. Drinkable though not exemplary - somewhat plain. On tap at the Vermont Brewers Festival. DYCSoccer17 (3698) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 18, 2004
On tap at Vermont Brewers Fest. 3 oz sample. Nose is sort of grainy with some citrus grapefruit in there. Perhaps a slight soapy nose as well. Light copper color with a slight haziness and a small head. Taste is quite one-dimensional. Grainy hop hop hoppity from the start. Quite bitter and bland and a boring one-dimensional IPA. cask: This brew is rich on different spices. Holy basil, apples, some pepper spices, smoked malt and tea. This id found in the aroma as well as the flavor. The finish is quite bitte and the palate is spicy.
