COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the early 1900’s, Portsmouth, OH, was known as Peerless City, USA. Continuing the tradition of excellence, our Peerless Pale Ale is highly hopped with Cascade and Pearle hops for this style’s characteristic bitter finish. This ale is well balanced with spicy citrus notes from the yeast & dry hopped for a fruity aroma.

A slightly hazy amber color with a small white head. Aroma is mainly caramel malts. Some hop bitterness in the taste. I am not sure if this lack of hops is intentional or just a stale beer in either case this one lacks punch and qualifies as more of an amber style than anything else.

Scored this bottle @ Kroger, heheh. Milky malty bready hop nose. Cloudy hazy brownish pale with lots of sediment floating around in this one. Slight floral hop aroma. From the description, was thinking big IPA - ish BS but first taste indicates A very slight tart fizzy feel before the hops kick in. Somewhat fruit and the sizzling co2 continues, it is welcomed. You’d never know it was a six percenter. Continues to be somewhat appealing for tuff APA. Not bad, better than expected and the label does it justice. Yea, in the end it has a quite quaffable attribute. Not bad.

Trade with jtclockwork for a beer from jt’s uncle possibly. 12oz bottle diminishing offwhite-cloudy amber. A-bready/caramel-lt/med malt, some pine. T-earthy/pine/orange hop bitter, bready/sweet-lt/med malt. Kinda thanks, this keeps me solidly in the Top 5 of rater for this establishment.

Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has some hops and peaches, though it is quiet bland. Taste is damp with hops. Palate is a bit thin although also oily. Overall a boring pale ale.

Pours a slightly hazy pale amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of floral hops, fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Average overall.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a pale clear gold with a white head that leaves a sheet of lace in the glass. Light aroma and flavor. Notes of bready malts, tangerine, light florals, straw, grass, and apple. Light-bodied, with soft carbonation and a clean mouthfeel. Not bad but not much to it.

Bottle. Floral orange malt and metallic orange peel aroma. Dark golden yellow with large head. Strong metallic orange malt and peel flavor. Okay but the metallic notes aren’t pleasant.

It looks cloudy with a copper/golden color and a medium white head. The aroma is equal parts hops and malt. The aroma is bread, citrus, nuts and something I can’t put my nose on. The taste is somewhat even. It is more sweet than anything but it also has a bitter hint. It has a medium body with a somewhat creamy texture. The finish is light bitter and sweet. This is a damn good beer and seeing as how it comes 1.5hr south of me I can probably put up the money for bar price.
