LSAT Freedom Trip #25. Keg at the brewpub. Hazy bronze, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of brine, raisin, caramel. The taste is salt, biscuit malt, caramel. Medium bodied. hopscotch (11341) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2013
Bottle... Pours hazy and dirty-orange with no head. The bouquet is malty, toasty and lightly funky. Medium-bodied with vibrant carbonation. The flavor is malty and toasty with a tiny pinch of salt. Crisp, mildly salty finish. Nice stuff. Bottle courtesy of landhoney! thornecb (6096) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Pours deep gold into a snifter. Pancake head with medium retention recedes leaving thin trailing sheets. Mild bubblegum and coriander aromas. Thin with salty caramel upfront turning to banana before the dry medium length saltwater finish. mcox90 (2152) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 7, 2013
On tap at the source. Served in a pilsner glass. Pours a hazy tan color with a 1/2" off white head. Semi sweet wheat and banana aroma, very much like a dunkelweizen. Wheat, banana, and spice in the flavor. Lacks the sourness I was hoping for. Moderate palate & easy to drink. I had two. All in all, a good tasting beer, just not what I expected. bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - JAN 27, 2013
Pours a foggy caramel brown color with a trace of eggshell foam. The nose is round sweet caramel with traces of tart lemon. On the palate its a lot of the same with a round malty dough character taking the lead... rich caramel and touches of toffee.. traces of tart lemon peak through on the front and back end of the beer but Im not sure they are coming together in the best way.. Id like to see a little hop character coming into the mix... not bad, I love Gose just didn’t love this variation of it.

The pour comes out as a muddy orange brown with a small white head that quickly reduced to a veneer. Actually quite interesting looking. It’s quite hard to put a finger on the characteristics of this beer- caramel and toffee round out the malt character with some lemon like lactic acidity providing a bit of a tart bite. More caramel toffee comes through in the flavor with a crazy doughy berliner weiss like sourness that holds lemon acidity. The palate is medium bodied with supple fine bodied carbonation, finishing with a clean acidic finish.
