Bottle... Mostly clear amber ale with a small, fat bubbled white head. Aroma-wise, I could pull absolutely nothing out of the glass. Medium to full-bodied with light carbonation. Beefy, grainy flavor that leans slightly bitter. Finishes lightly bitter, a hint astringent, and then dries out. Bottle courtesy of landhoney! j12601 (10966) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear cola brown with orange highlights and a light white head. Sweet malt with a touch of hops and caramel on the nose. Medium bodied and a bit malty. Finishes with a light bitterness. Definitely sessionable, but rather boring. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2009
Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Ratebeer Spring Gathering. Deep amber pour. The aroma is nutty and lightly sweet. There is a bit of earthy sweetness with a bit of light spice. Flavour is a little bit watery but there is a nice light sweetness and a bit of bitterness. There is a light astringency, but it’s not bad.

on tap at brewpub. hazy almost cloudy golden orange with a minimal off-white head, some retention. grains - wheat and rye, spicy-peppery, citrusy, bit of caramel, herbs and booze. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, short herbal finish. lame esb interpretation. Draft @ brewpub on 28 Nov, 2012. Proper glassware. Hazy copper pour with thin white head leaving light lace down the sides. Nose is caramel and some dank, muskiness. Not much hop presence and that’s fine because it does have an English feel to it. Malt with a weak Earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium in body. It was served to cold. It got much better as it warmed. Would be nice on cask. Iphonephan (6951) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - NOV 17, 2016

Aroma: The nose has some rather light hop notes, caramel and nutty malts
Appearance: It pours a clear light amber color with a small head and not a lot of lace
Flavor: The flavor is light and clean, with a clean malt sweetness and a nice, light hop bitterness
Palate: The body is light, it has a nice, clean mouthfeel, and drinks quite easily
This is a nice, clean, easy drinking ESB. The nose and flavors lean toward the subtle side, but aren’t bad at all. I liked this one.
Medium brown pour with hints of red. Medium caramel malt with a hint of pine on the nose. Slight sweetness, light caramel malt, and a nice finishing bitter. Thin and watery with good carbonation.
