On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy gold with a light, filmy white head. Very sweet-smelling aroma with notes of yeast and candi. Sweet flavor, some banana and apple, gum, yeast, candi. Medium bodied with massaging, fine carbonation. Slightly biting finish, weak yeast and some sweetness. Alright. Oakes (17681) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 24, 2008
Muddy beige. No head. Big banana nose with light indistinct phenols and abundant wheat. Very sweet - sort of icing sugar sticky. Big banana and very sugary finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 12, 2013

Bomber from the brewpub. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of wheat, spice, dry lemon. The taste is wheat, lemon, spice, yeast. Thin-medium bodied, refreshing. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Bottle thanks to Jblauvs. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is full of banana and clove with a good amount of sweet wheat and some other spice. Flavor begins with more wheat but is quickly joined by banana and clove.

My Bottom Line:czar (9085) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 8, 2013
Orange and banana juices flow onto the sweet cereals as doughy yeast is dropped onto the muddled result. All the right flavors are there, but for some reason I don’t find this Hefeweizen to be cohesive at all.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-There is barely a ring of foam to top the cloudy beige.
-The chosen yeast is very expressive; lots of banana esters and spicy, clovey phenols. Weihenstephaner’s perhaps?
-The relatively low carbonation does not help the mouthfeel at all.
-My glass was overly fruity and sweet to be all that drinkable. A rare dislike for me at this brewpub.
On tap at the brewpub.
bottle from retail store. hazy pale golden with a small white cap, some retention. fun bananas, spices, peppery and quite yeasty, clovey. prickly carbonation that fortunately settles, light body - oily, nice herbal-spicy but lightly sweet finish, enjoyed! On tap at Portsmouth brewpub. Pours out a hazy gold topped with a cream head. Aroma was tons of bananas, spice, and belg yeast. Taste was more of the strong banana, along with a nice sweet balance. I always love a good German Hef.

On tap at the brew pub. Lightly hazy. Aroma is big time banana clove. A very good American Hefe, would order again. And I am truly becoming a beer snob. Good showing from Tod the brewer.
