Dark body with no head. Little bit of Belgian yeast on it. Little bit of coffee notes towards the end. Nice brew
Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Dark chocolate and pit fruit aromas. UPDATED: OCT 6, 2014 Had on tap at the source. I don’t remember what I paid. To pint, it pours a mauve-tinted purplish dark brown with which a beige head finger in length stood. Tastes and smells of coffee syrup, ground nutmeg, Cloves cigarettes, Grandma’s Original molasses, stale bread, DME, and bubblegum. Extra kick of Belgian flavor not appreciated. On tap - dark in color with lacing. Coffee aroma and taste. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Malty backbone. Very good.

Tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with a slight ruby tint and thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts, faint coffee, earthy notes, fig, and light spice. Flavor is roast malts forward with chocolate, light earthy hops, and some dark fruit esters; watery with a dry finish. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

Dark brown color with tan head that quickly disappears. I’m not really tasting the Belgian yeast that advertised. In fact, I’m not tasting much of anything. Watery mouth feel and no distinct coffee or chocolate flavors that coming with stouts normally. Honestly, quite a letdown, because I expected so much better.
