Draught. This is a pretty bland red ale with a decent malt and hop balance. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 2, 2006
(22oz bottle, thanks wilkie) Small beige head atop a hazy garnet body. Aroma is medium sweet, nutty, caramel, light chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, chocolate, some earthy. Watery light-medium body, undercarbonated. alalvarez75 (57) - New York, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Tastes of malt and "My First Homebrew Kit". Below par beer, unless your buddy had told you he made it. Then it would be average. Color was light brown not really amber and taste was of a malty pale ale with zero hopps. Pass. b3shine (9154) - Indiana, USA - APR 12, 2012
Bottle to snifter. Looks alright; amber with some lace. Smells and tastes average. Mouthfeel is the same. Kind of disappointing for a Portsmouth. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Bottle shared by TurdFurgison. Thanks, Eric! Pours a reddish-amber color with a short off-white head and a bit of lacing. The nose carries some amber malt and faint hops along with a pretty decent amount of diacetyl, which carries over into the flavor. Very disappointing. Buttered bread. I would not have this one again. Hopefully it was just an off bottle.
