Pours opaque black, with a thin, tan head. After the head fades, some translucent mahogany edging shows itself, as well as some dotted lacework. A partial skim-coat endures for the duration. Aromatics lead off with dark chocolate, espresso, fudge, and roasted oats. Quite rich, and it has a lush, doughy component underneath. Full bodied, exceedingly oily and creamy. The carbonation is on the low side, and allows the velvet to roll on the tongue. An oily mix of brownie batter, coffee beans, and roasted barley start the pallet. The slick oils from the oats drys up quickly and a slight bitterness steps forward. Oreo shells drizzeled with Kahlua in the shadows. Finishes with a lingering dryness/oily mix, and plenty of roasty chocolate. Talk about an under-the-radar brew. Great stuff.

Draft at the brew pub. Pours a black body with a tan head. Oats, chocolate malt, and roasted chocolate. Creamy dry oatmeal and some sweet malt. A Dry finish very drinkable and sessionable.

On tap at the brewpub during the KtG release: Just a wonderful oatmeal stout. It was rich and creamy but did not come off heavy and was extremely drinkable for an oatmeal stout. Not the most complex but one of the most enjoyable oatmeals I have had in a long time.

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a quite dark black/brown in color with a medium tan head that hung around. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was of darkly roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Flavor was strong with coffee and chocolate dominating. Bitter to finish. Oatmeal provided a really nice "creamy" palate. Very good...

Prsence dun moeyn col beige crmeux et dune large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Lger got de caf et de chocolat. Dure moyenne de larrire got. My Bottom Line:
Roasted coffee beans and chocolate envelop the oats in this chewy and amenable Oatmeal Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Generous foam sits atop the brown-sleeved black.
-The body is lovely on this one and never feels artificially inflated.
-The roasted malts provide ample bitterness in the back, which is perfect to cut back on the malty sweetness.
-The overall flavor profile is not necessarily complex, but it is highly efficient in reaching its objectives.

Draft at he Brew Pub. Sweet for style. Dark Ruby, pretty clear and not too cloudy. Nice headwith good tobacco and peat tastes. Very notable for the head and lacing

Draft at the brewery. Pours pitch black in color with big foamy brown head. Aroma chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt, with bitter and oats finish.

Bomber thanks to Hophead75. Pours a deep dark brown almost black with a nice frothy head. Aroma is nutty chocolate and nice dull roasted malts- some coffee hints. Good nutty chocoalte flavor with some nice light drying leatherand some light anise flavor- toffee and light sweetness but more chocolate in the end. Relatively smooth but a bit high in the carbonation and a bit fizzy. Went well with some samoas cookies.
