5th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Slightly sour start. Doesn’t really have that oatmeal silkiness or smoothness. Very slightly fruity. cgarvieuk (24236) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 12, 2008

Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours rich brown with a fine, bubbly head. Rich chocolate aroma with moderate roast, some char. Medium sweet flavor with dark chocolate, dark toast, modest earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faint dryness to finish with loads of rubust yet restrained chocolate and roasted malts. Superb. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2008
Cask at GBBF 08. Black, thin tan head. Hoppy liquorice aroma. Peppery hop, tarry, liquorice mlats. It’s a wee bit odd. Hops are too dominant and the liquorice isn’t my favourite flavour. Hops have a bit of cat pee to them. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 10, 2015
Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, dark brown beer with a dense, minimal-sized light beige head. The aroma is roasted, almost burnt, with some dried fruits and coffee. It’s medium bodied, soft and a tad low on carbonation. The flavor is mostly on the roasted side, with some coffee and dark chocolate. Roasted kind of bitterness. Lasting finish with roasted malts and a close to burnt touch. Lacks character this one, but it drinks easily. Might need some food to shine. 150610
