A classic American craft beer. It may not be packed full of aggressive hops and flavors, but it’s still a great beer that you can get pretty much anywhere these days. Imaena (2328) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - NOV 9, 2013
Draught. This is a nice simple brown ale will lots of toasty malts and underlying hop zip. Sammy (12610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2012
Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Better than average brown ale, with very decent malting. Dark brown coloured body, a little head, lots of lace. Good drinkability. LiteWait (266) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 23, 2011
Had at the brewery. Color is semi Clear oak brown with no head or lacing. Minimum carbonation. Nose is roasted malt, with the taste being much of the same with a hint of caramel slightly sweet. Very clean with no bitterness. However it does have a dry finish. Easy drinker glad I got it. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 15, 2009
On tap at the brew pub. Brown in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is grain, malt, and light carameland nuts, but is rather faint. Taste is the same with light notes of chocolate, but also a little subdued.

22oz bottle thanks to MrRetardedMonkey poured into a snifter.
This one pours a dark brownish copper with a one-finger head that recedes to a ring and some bubbles in the middle. There is little lacing to speak of.
The aroma is textbook brown ale with some sweet roasted caramel malts and hints of nuts.
The taste is just as good as the aroma and on the sweeter side of things with caramel malts dominating. There is a definite toasted character in the finish with maybe a little bit of hop kick as well.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with decent carbonation.
This is a very good example of an English brown, not overly complex or big, but extremely drinkable. I really enjoyed this one. OldRaspy (292) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 25, 2008
On tap at the brewery, brownish in color with a small beige head. A roasted malt aroma. Flavor followed aroma with the roasted malt and a slightly spicy note. urnamesucks (92) - New York City, New York, USA - AUG 20, 2008
The best beer of the ten in my sampler. We stayed longer and I had another two before we headed off to Massachussetts. SQNfan (591) - Wheaton, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2008
On tap at the brewpub during the KtG release: Like the rest of the beers in the lineup that day this was a really well-make and balanced beer. Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 24, 2008
Amber-brown colour. Toasty, nutty nose. The flavour is a bit husky, with nutty notes and a slightly astringent finish.
