COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A great example of what spicy rye malt can do for a brew. Light bodied, spicy, and a little piney from the Chinook Hops used in the kettle. This rye lager goes down smooth and spicy!

Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Stale pumpernickel aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel and sour rye upfront turning to mild aspirin before the lasting resin finish.

Keg pour into taster cup at NH Brewfest. Appearance is slightly hazy, minimal sparkle, small white head, with minimal lacing. Aroma is mainly malty. Taste is strong spicy rye, light malts. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and mix of sweet and spicy mild tart finish. Overall, a good beer with a distinctive spicy kick from the rye for extra refreshment.

Taster at the source. Poured gold with a white head. Rye spice aroma, backed by a solid dose pine resin. Quick hit of rye on the tongue, then pine hop bitterness on the swallow. Medium bodied. The best brew of my flight.

AirForceHops (7689) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 3, 2016
Bottle from the brewery gift shop. Almost yellow-gold color with a small white head and mild carbonation. Aroma of rye with a hint of pine and mild spice.

Flavor of lager yeast and then mellows into some lingering rye bitterness mixed with light pine. The body is light with a dry texture. Nice subtle Chinook hop profile to go with the rye. Overall, tasty and nicely refreshing.

Bottle from the brewery store. Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a bubbly off white head that dissipates slowly. Initially a hint of skunk when first poured but luckily that dissipated quickly. Solid crackery sweet bready pilsner maltiness. Earthy pine hoppiness with just a hint of spice to counter. Pretty damn solid lager, its a bit different but I quite enjoyed it.
