JStax (7125) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 10, 2016
Draft at the source. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Aroma is bready and grassy. Dried herbs. Crisp and a bit floral. Medium body and medium carbonation.

mcox90 (2119) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 5, 2016
taster at the source. Pours a clear light gold with a thin white head. Light, clean bread grain aroma with a touch of herbal hops. Light biscuit flavor with a subtle sweetness. Mild nip of hops on the swallow. Light bodied, crisp and clean.

wombat23 (1665) - Texas, USA - JUN 24, 2016
Draft at the source on 5/17/2016. Pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of pilsner malt and hay. Light fruitiness. Similar taste. Mildly bitter finish. Okay.

commonmac (1313) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 21, 2016
Draft at the brewpub with commonshawn, rosskyle, and birthday boy samadouche. ECBT continues. Cloudy, hazy, and unfiltered golden and orange. No head to speak of...pilsner glass. Aroma muted and grainy. Taste is clean and simple. Faint malt and cereal. Definitely has a bready quality with some grassy/earthy characteristics. Maybe a light citrus and floral kick in the finish. I think we can all agree this beer is fine but family matters.

DiarmaidBHK (5671) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2016
Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Not a lot on th nose. Notes of grass and straw on the tongue. Finished clean. Solid beer but not the most exciting version of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Rating #5881)

boto (2261) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Draught @ Brewpub: Served in a flute. This one pours a hazy, straw yellow color. There was a thin white head that left some lace. It has a lighter nose. Faint malts as well as some floral and earthy notes. It has a medium to lighter body. Just a touch bitter, some malts. Nice.

My Bottom Line:
Friendly cereals approach whispering herbal hops, accompanying them into a lightly estery finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the strangely peach-hued blond. So this is not 100% Pils malt?
-Mouthfeel is soft and lean, perhaps even a tad watery for the style. Carbonation is quieter as well.
-Drinkability is high.
-Saaz hops could be better defined in both aroma and flavor profile.
-That rising estery finish is not what I expect/want from a Světlý.
-This is subpar for a Světlý, but I guess that is the norm for North American versions.

Bottle. Gros merci, Marc!

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Bread and caramel aromas. Soft with biscuit, hay and sourdough upfront turning dry in the medium length bitter earth finish.

mkgrenwel (621) - North Shore, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Clean clear golden pour with faint white wisps of head on top. Aroma is light honey and toast notes. Slightly herbal hoppy notes. Straight honey malt up front with a clean bitterness. The malt really takes over before finally fading out and letting the bitterness show. Malt is a bit toasty, which keeps it from being too sweet. Nice, well balanced, nuanced. Lacking the depth that would lead me to come back to this repeatedly, but pleasant and refreshing.
