This unfiltered, light-bodied American wheat ale is brewed with forty percent wheat malt and just enough hops for tangy, thirst-quenching refreshment. One of our most popular offerings, it is an excellent choice for those looking for a lighter beer.

Meh. Not a bad wheat ale but not a favorite style. Light grass and spice. The unfiltered look is better than the pale lager look many wheat ales rock. But still meh.

On tap @ Portsmouth Brewery. Mostly clear golden beer with a white head. Bready malt and sweetness dominate here. Maybe some mild esters here. Slight yeast, some grass, and a touch of white pepper. Kind of bland and boring. Just a bunch of toasted, sweet, cereal grains. Kind of tastes like a high boost pale lager. Meh.

Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 13, 2015
Bomber from the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow with a medium sized frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of biscuity wheat, mild floral hops. Fairly simple. The taste is wheat, citrus and tropical fruits. Thin bodied, mild lingering spice.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 7/12/13

Aroma: The aroma of this beer is wheat and spice, with malty notes and light hops
Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow color with a small white head on it
Flavor: The taste is much the same, wheat-forward, leans sweet, with some balancing bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has an average carbonation, and a decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Thought this was a solid, but unspectacular wheat ale. It is thirst quenching and easy to drink. Solid.

boto (2210) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Draught @ Brewpub: this one pours a cloudy golden color. A fair amount of a foamy white head that doesn’t linger long but does leave some lacing. The aroma id decent. Mainly some wheat and citrus notes. The taste is also pretty good. Wheat, citrus, and a slightly lighter body. A nice brew.
