Thanks to the other ’Tom’ for sharing this 22oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of cloves, bananas, and bubble gum. Tastes of the same with caramel. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Thanks to warriorsoul for sharing this bomber. Pours a slightly hazy deeper golden amber with a medium off white bubbly head. Aroma of bubblegum, ripe banana, clove, toasted malt and caramel. Flavor of toasted malt, ripe banana, caramel and clove. phaleslu (10652) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 7, 2010
Draft sample as part of a tasting rack with dinner the night before Kate Day 2010. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with a half-inch thick white head. Aroma of banana, clove, wheat, caramel, and lemon citrus. The flavor follows suit really closely, sweeter than a lot of other hefeweizens, though. Medium bodied, with a wheaty mouthfeel and fruity finish. Nothing particularly groundbreaking here, but if you like your hefes on the sweeter side, this one’s for you. Pours Golden with an offwhite head.
Aroma is yeasty, Banana esters, a bit of candi, some caramel malts.
Flavor is fruity, some banana, clove, light caramel malt. Decent, but relatively overrated, Ive had better, more classical German Hefs. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 22, 2009
On tap in the Portsmouth Brewery. cloudy orange appearance. Very thin lace. Sweet spicy aroma. Rich spice flavour with some herb, coriander. Floral qualities. Enjoyed it.

Bottle shared at the Smoke from the Oak release by yobdoog I think. Pours a hazy dark amber with a bit of a white head. Yeasty, earthy, and grass notes. Piles of carbonation on this, turning every sip into a mouthful of foam initially. It eventually settles down and comes through with a nice sweet, spicy flavor. Finishes dry and crisp. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAR 8, 2009

On tap at the brewpub. Served in a shaker pint glass. Pours a murky golden copper color with a 1/2" white head. Nice aroma of banana, yeast and clove spices. Very smooth, soft mouth feel. Flavor is same as nose with the basic weizen flavors of banana & cloves. Very good. GAManiac (1946) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2009
Bomber shared by glid02.
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a sizable white head that showed good retention and left only a trace of lacing.
The aroma has the typical Belgian yeast aroma of bubble gum and bananas with some cloves as well. Faint hints of hops and a light fruity sweetness.
The taste amps up the sweetness with the same bananas and light fruit as the aroma. There is hop kick up front with some apples and pears in the middle before some spices finish it off with a dry finish.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with lots of sticky sweetness.
I really enjoyed this one and it’s very, very drinkable. Thanks to Gregg for sharing. Immy (1958) - Virginia Beach, USA - DEC 4, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. This is spectacular - murky, dirty gold with a thin beige head. Huge banana and clove nose, wheaty and a light bubblegum note. Big banana flavors with wheat and light caramel, clove and caramel. Amazing soft mouthfeel, and drinkable as hell. Excellent!
