Tap at the Brooklyn Brewery. Taste very light and fruity. Quite refreshing. Overall an averaged, pretty well-balanced pale ale but not something to rave about.
Found a place that sells this, and after trying it, I'm thinking they must have had it from long ago. Beer pours a warm burnt reddish brown, with a thin lacework of head and an army of floaters suspended within the liquid. Smells a bit old, with a nice maltiness. Very english in taste, with an emphasis on malts and subtle downplayed hoppiness. Not bad at all. I'd like to find this fresh. Balthazar (86) - Clinton, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 22, 2001
Reminds me of orange peel... tangy then bitter. Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 22, 2001
Nice taste. Seems too sweet near the end of a sip. Good balance to it Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2001
Fruity and estery, with some wood and a hint of bubblegum in the finish.
