Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle from The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) Pours a clear amber colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of pumpkin, sweet potato, some baked beans and slight cinnamon. Taste of toasted malts, grain, some pumpkin, slight sweet potato, a hint of nutmeg and subtle cinnamon. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A sweetish, slightly metallic, vegetal finish. Not really a pumpkin ale, quite artificial and vegetal. Disappointed with this.

This tastes like the prototypical pumpkin ale. Amber ale feel with pumpkin flavor added. Not for me.

Bottle from the Architect, Cambridge. Weirdly bright orange, very clear. Almost no head and little visible carbonation. Light aroma of roast sweet potato and candy sugar. Very tasty: sweet with just a hint of cinnamon backing it up. Perfectly carbonated with a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. I really like this; reminds me of home.

A beautiful looking beer, dark amber with a lingering white head. Aroma isnt very strong, taste is bitter, pumpkin is understated. Ok but not the best not example.
