Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle. Pours a pretty amber color with minimal head. Aroma was lightly spiced. Good flavor, though the pumpkin seemed lighter than other pumpkin brews I had tried. Defiantly makes this brew less of a gimmick than many other pumpkin beers. Smooth finish, feels good on the ol’ palate. Not the best pumpkin I’ve had on the basis of it being a pumpkin beer, but a solid brew in its own right.

Frischer, würzig getreidiger Beginn. Runde Noten von Kürbis, frisch, kaum gewürzig. Vollmundig herb, mittellanger Nachhall. 8/10/9/9//9

Sampled @ BKL 2018. A almost clear amber beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin spices, cinnamon, red malt. Taste of sweet red malt, cinnamon, pumpkin spices.

Tap. Hazy golden-amber color with white head. Aroma is pumpkin grapefruit, biscuity malts, nice spice. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not bad!

Bottle. Orange peel and pumpkin spice nose. Cloudy orange, offwhite lace. Overly spicy on the palate, dry, light sticky, sugary finish.

axl (1120) - Lund, SWEDEN - NOV 10, 2017
400ml draught. Clear dark brown with slightly off white head. Aroma is mixed spices, caramel and bread. Taste is caramel, brown bread, mixed pumpkin spice and some notes of actual light roasted pumpkin. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and light malty spicy aftertaste.

The aroma is fine, but then comes the taste.. or generally, lack of it. I prefer nice cinnamonny and nutmeggy pumpkin ales that make you long for winter and nice comfy nights together. This lacks this character mostly. Drinks like an ordinairy beer.

This has a finish that I initially identified as "shaving cream" but seems to be more "cedar" now that I think about it. Either way, it is... odd.

Faint aroma. light amber color. Very watery beer! Like a malty coors light. Not much flavor at all, besides some malt. Super disappointing

Bottle, UK import, source not recorded. Backlog entry. Entering my historic scores for US beers whilst visiting New York. No tasting notes kept, just rating.

Decent fall seasonal. Aromas and flavors of pumpkin, spice and earth. Not too sweet with biscuit finish. Copper color with a light body.
