Tasted as Postel Christmas. Abbey beer with warm bronze colour, creamy head and caramelly and spicy character, with impressions of banana, pear, butterscotch, liquorice, cloves, chocolate, white pepper; malty sweet taste, soft, smooth with mild hop bitterishness and warming alcohol in the finish. Like the other Postel beers, this is actually not bad and well balanced, though very mainstream and stereotypical for its style. miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - JUL 8, 2014

Brune rougeâtre opaque, effervescence moyenne, quasi pas de col. Caramel légèrement rôti, réglisse, fruits foncés, fruits secs (noix), ABV bien présent. Gary (2035) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2013
(bottled)From old notes from an October trip to Brussels . Probably the best Christmas beer ive had at 5 am in the morning while intoxicated of my ass !!! My notes say in reflection...Rich of course ...a rather creamy unity of caramel and spicy boozy relentlessness in liquid brown format ...A wave of dry texture slowly breezes in to refresh my palate ... Exactly what I would expect from a Belgian Christmas ale ... bierbeek (97) - Beek, NETHERLANDS - JAN 6, 2013

The one I like most of the Postel beers I’ve tasted to date. Certainly nice with a little age on it.

Clear dark amber to reddish brown beer, creamy, off-white to beige head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, very fruity, sweet peaches, some strawberries, hops, bit spicy. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, malts, bitter hops, some spices, fruity, strawberries, cherries. Aftertaste: bitter hops, some spices (liquorice). Very decent for a Postel beer.
Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy brown coloured brew with an nice sweet spicy taste and some fine hints of caramel. Nice beer for the Christmas time, easy and good. xiempie (19) - Mouscron, BELGIUM - DEC 19, 2011
slight hints of caramel, nuts, resin, a ’cosy’ beer . brown, light sparkling, small white head. medium sweetness. omhper (25349) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2010
Bottled (as Postel Christmas, 9.0%) at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany colour, rocky head. Toasty vinous nose with figs and dark bread. Sweet and near full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Brown sugar on dried figs with some grassy hops atop. Light spicy bitterness with a bit of warming alcohol. A likeble, rather complex and warming beer, where my sampel alrady had matured a little.
